Mrs. Bee posted a link to Hostess with the Mostess earlier, and I might have to yoink this idea for our wedding. It would be a great way to introduce the antique blue into our wedding, since our table cloths are champagne and the flowers are pink. Also, my e-ring is a radiant cut so I always like to use square rhinestones on things instead of round ones.
I think one of the best things about favors is the boxes and trimmings they come in are so cute. Nashville Wraps has a million different boxes and bags that are perfect for little candies. Here are just a few:

Of the chocolate variety! Mrs. Bee previously posted about Sushi Stationery Sets. Maybe you could tag team the gift to include these yummo sushi chocolates from Suedy’s Koo-ki Sushi. They even have inlaid Belgian chocolate chopsticks!

I’m at a loss. I have a junior bridesmaid and a ring bearer in my wedding party. I have no idea what to get them as a gift.
For the groomsmen, we bought the ties (which they can wear again), and fake business cards with nice, engraved card holders. I won’t tell you what I got for my bridesmaids because they read this sometimes - but let’s say that I bought them a small token of appreciation, along with their dresses.
But when it comes to the kids, I have no idea what to get them. The junior bridesmaid is 10 years old. Even from the moment she was born, I wanted her to be my flower girl. I was 17 years old at the time, and I loved taking care of her. Too bad for me, I am getting married too late for her to be a flower girl, so now she’s my junior bridesmaid. Her younger brother is turning 7 this month. He is sooooo adorable! I just want to squeeze him and kiss him and love him to death. When I told him he was going to be a ring bearer, he looked at me and said “No! I want to be a ring DRAGON!!!! ROOOOOAAAAAR!!” *flapping arms and breathing fire*
So what to get them? It’s so hard to shop for them, because the girl is too old for dolls but too young for purses and makeup. I also don’t want to buy her expensive jewelry because she might lose it. The boy, well, he’s still a child and I don’t know what he would really appreciate. I would like for both gifts to be a little nicer than a small trinket; something they can keep for awhile.
Any ideas?
I used these tea bags and tea trays as my wedding favor. Tea Forte has come out with more color choices for the tea trays! Yay! I love the terra cotta colored one!

This afternoon I packaged all of the personalized M & Ms into little mini treat bags for our guests. Here’s what they look like at the moment:

These are the baggies that I purchased from the local Party City. I believe they were $1.99 for a package of 100. They come with silver twist ties:

I’m not sure where to put them on the day of the party. I was thinking a little basket on the table next to the “two peas in a pod” salt and pepper shakers, but then there’s also the possibility of putting them directly on the tables. Any input?
My mind is all over favors this week. Plus I received such a big comment response to my last favor post, I figured I’d give it another try.
Elegant way to dress up your CD favors.

This Lucky Cat was too cute not to post.

Sorry people. I’ve been feeling under the weather lately. We think we have a slight problem that involves bed bugs. Gross, I know. I have NO IDEA where they came from, but can you picture me trying to go to bed in the dark and constantly slapping myself in random places? I’m so paranoid and I feel so violated! I have a slight fever now. I don’t know if it’s bastard bed bug related, but my sponge bob thermometer told me that I had a slight temperature. Boo!
Question:
Where can I find gold place card holders? Not cutesy ones. Just simple, classic ones like these below. I can’t find them anywhere!! ~Miss Bird of Paradise

For those of you who are interested Miss BOP found this on Beau-coup and they only come in silver. They’re $24.00 for a set of 12 and you need to order a minimum of 2 sets. I love these. They’re so cute and simple. Unfortunately you really don’t have much of a choice on the internet. I’ve been searching for 2 days man! The gold ones I’ve been finding are “cutesy” or just plain corny, and 24 bucks for 12 of these is not a steal if you’re on a tight budget. If you’re ordering for 100 guests it’s going to come out to well over $200 for these little babies.
